Podium is an elliptical table two and a half meters long, which is characterized by the centrality it assumes in living environments: a real protagonist, also thanks to its fine details. The top in refined secular solid wood or practical anti-scratch glass, joins the central leg in cement creating a pleasant contrast of materials, which guarantee solidity and elegance. The central base constitutes the most distinctive aspect of this table, which acts as a versatile base in scratch-resistant wood or glass, materials that enhance its original character. Technical Details
Structure:
made of steel and subsequently lacquered.
Glass top:
made of 1.2 cm thick tempered glass
Top in veneered wood:
made of class E1 agglomerated wood panels with low formaldehyde content 5 cm thick covered with veneer.
Messed wood top:
made of class E1 agglomerated wood panels with low formaldehyde content, 5 cm thick, covered with veneer and with irregular side edges in solid wood.
Top in debarked solid wood:
made of 4 cm thick solid wood with irregular edges.
Top in secular walnut wood:
made from coupled 4 cm thick solid wood boards. The woods chosen for the realization of the tops undergo a drying process that goes from a minimum of 6 to 8 months in order to reduce the degree of humidity to 5%. This is the best way to obtain a stable wood which, although alive, is affected as little as possible by changes in external temperature. The presence of knots, natural splits and variations in color tones testify to the authenticity and uniqueness of each single plant which are to be considered peculiar characteristics of this material. The tops are treated externally with water-based paint which gives homogeneity to the touch and protection against humidity infiltrations, while maintaining the natural color of the wood. The wooden boards are selected from certified areas of South America with controlled reforestation, managed according to strict environmental and social standards. This means that every time a tree is cut down for the production of products, others are regretted in order to give back to nature what it has given us.
