Design and realisation of a customised designer kitchen. Furniture project carried out in collaboration with Studio Polenghi S.t.p Srl

Cosy home located in the province of Lodi.

The customer came to us through our website looking for a modern sofa without backrests and armrests. We organised a visit to the company's showroom to illustrate the product he was interested in. During the visit we also had the opportunity to see other exhibitions and therefore took the opportunity to view a showroom of living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens.

Following the visits, after defining the purchase of the sofa, we introduced and explained the kitchen furniture the customer was interested in. The customer then contacted us by email and sent us the design of how he wanted his kitchen. The project was conceived by the Polenghi S.t.p Srl studio, which closely followed the client's requests, interpreting and putting the indications on paper: symmetrical, clean lines and a modern design.

Our task was to give shape to the proposed project and maximise the available space. We therefore proposed a kitchen with unique and special details that could meet the client's requirements for capacity. Specifically, we considered a low plinth, taller base and wall units with greater depths than the standard to provide maximum space for pots and pans and accessories. Another added value of the project is the 75 cm wide dishwasher door, which conceals the appliance and has an open detergent compartment to the side; once the dishwasher is open, everything is within easy reach. Lastly, at the customer's request, we were able to salvage some extractable baskets from the old kitchen, which were in excellent condition and we inserted them inside the column next to the fridge. This has allowed us to contain costs and maintain the customer's habit of using the drawers.

The choice of colours was clear from the start as we wanted warm, sober tones in pastel shades. The most difficult choice was that of the top, as we wanted to have the same colour as the table top in the kitchen. We therefore proposed a number of finishes that came close to the customer's ideas and that could reflect the colour of the table top. The final choice gave an excellent result with a warm colour of the base and wall units contrasted by the dark aluminium profiles and a table top in a warm, bold colour.

The project exceeded expectations and the client was so satisfied that he confided to us: "I feel like I have a kitchen like the ones you see on the covers of newspapers!"
