This project in Conegliano (TV), Veneto, involved the interior redesign of an open-plan kitchen and living area of approximately 35 sqm within a newly built apartment. The aim was clear from the beginning: to transform a well-proportioned but rather impersonal space into an elegant, warm and highly distinctive living area.
The client wanted to radically improve the perception of the room without replacing the existing flooring. For this reason, we focused on vertical surfaces, the ceiling, materials, lighting and bespoke furniture, creating a contemporary concept with a strong visual identity.

The value of the project
The core of the intervention was the study of the vertical surfaces and ceiling. The existing flooring, which the client initially did not particularly like, was not replaced: instead, we chose to rebalance the room by shifting the focus towards more expressive materials, architectural volumes, colour depth and light.
This decision allowed us to optimise the budget and achieve a far more effective result. Rather than intervening everywhere, we concentrated the design effort on the elements capable of truly changing the perception of the space.
3D Canaletto walnut wall panelling
The most recognisable feature of the project is the three-dimensional wall panelling in Canaletto walnut, developed across both wall and ceiling with a bespoke geometric design.
The pattern alternates straight, angled and curved lines, creating movement and depth without overwhelming the room. The workmanship was developed in collaboration with our partner Il Tranciato, in order to optimise both the aesthetic result and the production process.
The result is a warm, tactile and dynamic surface that gives identity to the entire open-plan space, transforming what was initially an anonymous living area into a distinctive and personal interior.
Verde Alpi porcelain stoneware TV wall
The TV wall was designed as the focal point of the living room. The cladding is composed of four large polished porcelain stoneware slabs with a Verde Alpi effect, installed to create visual continuity in the veining.
The polished finish works beautifully with the warmth of the Canaletto walnut and the anthracite palette, adding depth, reflections and a refined material presence to the entire open-plan living area.
The same material reference was also carried through to the dining area, creating continuity between the living space and the dining table.
Double-sided sofa and 360-degree living
The sofa was chosen as the central element of the layout. Positioned as a freestanding piece in the middle of the room, without fixed backrests, it allows the space to be used freely and creates a natural connection between the kitchen, dining area, TV wall and external view.
This solution makes the open-plan layout more dynamic and less tied to a single direction. The furniture does not divide the space: it organises it while maintaining visual continuity and lightness.
Lighting and atmosphere
The lighting design was developed on several levels: decorative lighting above the dining table, a statement light above the sofa and integrated LED lighting to enhance the TV wall, the wall panelling and the depth of the darker tones.
In this project, light is not only a technical element. It actively contributes to the atmosphere, visual comfort and perceived quality of the space.
Technical coordination and installation
Beyond the creative phase, the project required careful technical coordination between installers, craftsmen, electricians, painters and tilers. In such a material-led interior, every element had to interact precisely with the others.
The installation of the large porcelain stoneware slabs and the ceiling-mounted wall panelling required particular attention, as the continuity of the veining, alignments, joints and lighting points all had to remain coherent with the original design.
This level of coordination is an integral part of our service: the idea alone is not enough; what matters is the ability to translate it into a real, carefully executed and lasting result.

Client feedback
The client particularly appreciated the project’s ability to transform the perception of the room without replacing the existing flooring.
“We were impressed by how the anthracite colour, which we feared might make the room feel darker, actually enhanced the entire space thanks to the lighting effects and the elegant contrasts with the Canaletto walnut.”
